Bringing Out the Best in Your Home so You Can Make the Most From Your Home

About

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. In 2003 I came to Austin to supervise the production of the Mike Judge film “Idiocracy”. I fell in love with everything Austin had to offer and moved here permanently in 2004. I found my path to home staging through art. In addition to my design work, I am also a painter of abstract paintings. Many years ago I met another artist, Susannah Blanton, who owned a staging company, Blanton Design and Staging. Through our friendship Susannah graciously hired me to work as a Design Assistant. Little did I know that this would lead to a new career in the staging industry. I fell in love with the entire process and eventually worked my way to General Manager of BDS. In 2022, I started Monarch Design and Staging because I want to expand my experience.

Curating the art for each specific job has always been the starting point of each staging for me. The art dictates the textiles, accessories, and balance of the finished work. It is the heart and soul of every staging for me.

In my spare time I love to hike the trails near my house with my dogchildren Sookie and Oliver, garden, cook, paint, and raise magical butterflies of many species, which are the inspiration for naming my company Monarch.
